Hydration
So you know a hydrated skin is a healthy skin? But how does one get hydrated skin?
Well, there are a number of factors that create the perfect environment for soft, dewy skin.
The first thing you need is at least one water based product in your homecare, preferably hyaluronic acid. The reason why your skin loves this ingredient is because it helps your skin hold onto water. It's also amazing for helping to fill any little crepey lines.
The second thing you need is some gentle exfoliation, for this I love to use enzymes! Enzymes exfoliate on a microscopic level, then run all over your skin and munch up the dead stuff. The reason why enzymes are sooo good for dehydrated skin is because they don’t cause any irritation to the skin and they don't strip the skin. They also leave your skin feeling super plump afterwards.
The last thing that you need is a good day time moisturiser to lock in hydration. We want to prevent something called TransEpidermal Water Loss or TEWL. This basically happens when you go in and out of air conditioning or heating. The environment sucks all of the moisture out of your skin. To prevent this, a treatment that has a barrier built in will help prevent this. Our prevention range is perfect for this. They are a blend of spf and day cream to make your life easy!
